The University of Leicester is working to boost Minority Ethnic student involvement by awarding Minority Ethnic Masters Scholarships in the College of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities for the academic year 2023–2024.

Eligible courses: Masters programs are offered in the following fields:
Archaeology & Ancient History
Business Criminology
Economics Education English History
Film Studies
Law Media and Communication
Modern Languages
Museum Studies
Politics and International Relations
Sociology.

Criteria: Applicants must be permanent residents of the UK.
Must identify as Minority Ethnic.
Must have been accepted into a full-time campus-based or distance learning Masters program beginning in September/October 2023.

Scholarship Application Date: June 30, 2023.

To Apply: Submit your application through the university site. Eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

Supporting documents include academic qualifications and transcripts.
Personal Statement/Research proposal
Two finished references.
Proof of English language competency.

Admission criteria: Students must meet the entry and academic criteria for their selected course.

Language Requirement: Submit IELTS test scores.

Benefits

The scholarship winners receive a full tuition fee waiver. Additionally, awardees will receive support and mentoring to help them advance in their careers, as well as the opportunity to apply for the Minority Ethnic Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) initiative.
